Meet the Doctor
Thomas A. Wohl, MD
When Dr. Tom Wohl left the Vanderbilt faculty in July 2000, his practice became the Franklin Eye Center. Now, with a beautiful facility at Lincoln Square in Cool Springs, we have established a center of excellence for total eye care in Williamson County. Dr. Wohl was named an examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology, which credentials new practicing ophthalmologists.
Dr. Wohl has built his reputation on solid credentials and advanced skills covering the broad range of eye care from routine exams to laser vision correction. His expertise continually produces remarkable results. But ask his staff or patients what makes him a good physician, and they might answer simply, "He cares." In fact, many patients travel for hours to keep their appointments at the Franklin Eye Center!
It's our pleasure to do some things that go beyond direct patient care. We participate in numerous health fairs and Dr. Wohl speaks to interested groups about eye care and technology. We participate in the business community through the Chambers of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau. We provide free eye care services in conjunction with charitable groups such as Closer to Home, My Friend's House, and the Lions Club. Throughout the year, we organize, sponsor, and host our own writing contest series, What's Up with Kids and What's Up with Seniors, to promote writing and to recognize writers.
